About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Operations Director to lead and shape the operational strategy for their key facilities in Durban . This senior leadership role is critical for driving efficiency, innovation, and excellence across all operational departments. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance while managing significant budgets and leading a diverse team of professionals towards achieving strategic business objectives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies to enhance business performance and achieve organizational goals.
- Oversee and manage all daily operational activities, ensuring seamless integration and execution across departments.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of operational managers and staff, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Manage operational budgets, control costs, and optimize resource allocation for maximum efficiency and ROI.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory, safety, and quality standards within the operational framework.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a director-level role.
- Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale operational transformations and driving significant efficiency gains.
- Strong understanding of industry-specific operational best practices, supply chain logistics, and quality assurance.
- Expertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and decision-making capabilities, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
