Our client is looking for a hands-on PMO Manager to run and co-ordinate its infrastructure delivery programme. You will keep governance tight, the master schedule accurate and every stakeholder informed, while leading a team and supporting project managers across a multi-disciplinary portfolio.
DUTIES:- Operations and governance:
- Support the portfolio in meeting governance requirements, help project managers apply the PFMA and FIDPM correctly, respond to audit queries, roll out SOPs and manage the project management system.
- Programme and portfolio administration:
- Control project documents, prepare and manage the Infrastructure Master Schedule, support gate controls and gate reviews, and capture lessons learned to improve processes.
- Stakeholder management:
- Manage internal and external stakeholders and support the delivery of services to internal clients.
- Programme monitoring:
- Manage the unit's integrated management systems, monitor the operational plan, support quarterly reporting on targets and assure the quality of the portfolio.
- People management:
- Plan, train, coach and appraise your direct reports, manage recruitment within your delegated authority, and work with the environmental, operational and commercial teams on project risk assessments.
- Degree in Project Management or any built environment qualification
- 5 years
' experience as a project manager in the building environment - PMP, CAPM or PCPM registration is an advantage
- Code EB (08) driver's licence, and the ability to travel and work off site for site visits
- Strong Microsoft Project skills and experience managing multi-disciplinary programmes; good Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
- Full understanding of the Framework for Infrastructure Delivery and Procurement Management (FIDPM) and Treasury Instruction Note No. 4 of 2015/16 under the PFMA
- Knowledge of development processes and legislation, including NEMA, SPLUMA and WULA, as well as CIDB requirements and built environment regulations
Analytical, resilient and results-focused, with strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills and the ability to lead a team and manage change
