Operator; Plant

Job Description

The Operator (Plant) will be responsible for assisting manufacturing products in compliance with our quality control. Safe operations of chemicals plant. The Plant Operator will be responsible for assisting in troubleshooting operations and immediately reporting breakdowns and maintenance. The Operator will also assist the Warehouse when required (loading and off-loading of containers, flatbeds, etc). The Plant Operator will be responsible for assisting HSE risk management and mitigation, continuous improvement, legal compliance and company policy compliance.

The employee shall be required to perform any other reasonable tasks/services from time to time as required by the business.

• Matric

• 1-2 years’ experience in a Chemical environment
• Valid Forklift Licence
• Health and Safety training will be advantageous

• Responsible for assisting manufacturing products in compliance with our quality control
• Safe operations of chemicals plant
• Assist in troubleshooting operations
• Immediately report breakdowns and maintenance
• Assist the Warehouse when required (loading and off-loading of containers, flatbeds, etc)
• Assist HSE risk management and mitigation, continuous improvement, legal compliance and company policy
• General Housekeeping
• Recording and reporting of damaged or obsolete inventory/stock (D365 user)
• Stock taking including daily cycle counts
• Ad hoc duties as required by the Employer/Shift Leader or Manager
• Compliance to all relevant Safety, Health and Environmental requirements
