Durban North. An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced Patternmaker with a minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience using Lectra to join an established clothing manufacturing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate patterns for a variety of ladies wear garments, including blouses, dresses, skirts, pants and jackets.

Responsibilities:

Create and develop accurate patterns for ladies wear garments
Work on a variety of styles including blouses, dresses, skirts, pants and jackets
Interpret design concepts and specifications into production-ready patterns
Ensure patterns meet required fit, measurements and quality standards
Make adjustments and amendments to patterns as required
Work closely with the design and production teams

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in Lectra Pattern making
Strong hands-on experience using Lectra is essential
Proven experience creating patterns for ladies wear
Good understanding of garment construction, fit and grading
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Valid driver’s licence
