Large Format Printing and Signage | Riverhorse Valley, Durban
We are looking for an experienced and reliable DTP Operator to join our busy large-format printing and signage team.
This position is suited to someone who has proven, hands‑on experience in the printing and signage industry and understands how to prepare artwork correctly for production — not simply someone with graphic design experience.
ImportantThis is an experienced position. Applicants must have previous DTP/pre‑press experience, preferably within the large-format printing and signage industry.
Minimum requirementsProven experience as a DTP Operator in a printing, signage or large-format production environment
Strong working knowledge of CorelDRAW and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop as well as knowledge of both Mac and Windows Excellent understanding of print-ready artwork and pre-press requirements
Experience preparing artwork for large-format digital printing, vinyl cutting, signage, banners, posters, decals and related products
Ability to correctly set up bleeds, cut lines, crop marks, colour profiles, resolution and finished sizes
Ability to check supplied client artwork and identify potential production problems before printing
Experience resizing, adapting and correcting existing artwork for different applications
Good understanding of CMYK, Pantone and colour matching
Ability to work accurately with measurements, dimensions and scaling
Good spelling and attention to detail
Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment and manage multiple jobs and deadlines
Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with sales, production and installation teams
Reliable, organised and able to take responsibility for the accuracy of work sent to production
