Operations Supervisor

Our client is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Operations Supervisor to oversee daily production activities at their manufacturing plant in Durban . This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of the production floor, managing a team of skilled operators and technicians. You will be responsible for meeting production targets, maintaining quality standards, and implementing operational improvements directly on the shop floor.

This is an on-site position requiring strong leadership and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes.

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the production team, ensuring targets are met efficiently and safely.
• Monitor production processes, identify and resolve operational issues, and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations and company policies on the production floor.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to the team.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering departments to ensure equipment reliability and optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports, analyzing data to identify areas for efficiency improvements.

• Proven experience as a Supervisor or team lead in a manufacturing environment .
• Strong understanding of production processes, machinery, and operational best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
• Knowledge of health and safety protocols relevant to manufacturing operations.
