• Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, quality issues, and areas for improvement.
• Design and implement process improvements using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Conduct time and motion studies, workflow analysis, and capacity planning to optimize resource utilization.
• Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new and existing processes.
• Collaborate with production supervisors, quality control, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth implementation of process changes.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, and cost.
• Participate in the design and layout of new production lines or the reconfiguration of existing ones.
• Assist in troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Stay current with advancements in manufacturing technologies and industrial engineering practices.

• A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in industrial engineering, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
• Demonstrated experience in applying Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
• Proficiency in process analysis and simulation software is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with various departments.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Knowledge of quality control systems and safety standards in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with the Durban industrial sector is advantageous.
