As an integral part of the occupational health team, you will oversee essential medical surveillance—including audiometry, spirometry, and physical examinations—while managing on-site emergencies and injury-on-duty (IOD) protocols. Typical Responsibilities

• Medical Surveillance: Performing pre-employment, periodic, exit, and transfer medical examinations.
• Specialized Testing: Managing biological surveillance, audiometry, and spirometry.
• Emergency & Injury Management: Handling injury on duty (IOD) cases and primary healthcare emergencies.
• Workforce Wellness: Assisting clients with absenteeism management and sick leave follow-ups.
• Administration & Compliance: Overseeing clinic administration, data capturing, and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) compliance reporting.

Key Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Professional Registration: Current, active registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).

  A Degree or Diploma in Nursing, coupled with a post-basic qualification (Diploma or BTech) in Occupational Health Nursing Science.

  Must be a qualified OHNP with completed courses in Audiometry, Spirometry, Vision, and Dispensing.
• Experience: Typically 2 to 3 years of post-qualification experience in occupational health, primary health care, or a clinical-industrial setting.
