- Must be able to practice within your scope of practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures and protocols.
- Must be competent with the Hospitals Policies and Regulations.
- Ability to lead and supervise staff in theatre.
- Must have experience in handling drugs and scheduling is a legal requirement.
- Equipment maintenance and motivations.
- Ability to teach staff in the unit.
- To ensure that Theatre is always running at the highest standards
- Comply with SANC and stakeholder legislation.
- Must be registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse with valid
- APC.
- Good interpersonal skills with doctors, patients and colleagues is essential.
- Preferably have two or more years of experience as a Scrub Sister.
- Preferably be trained or qualified.
- Must be prepared to work additional hours.
- Must have excellent telephone skills.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work independently under minimum supervision.
- Must be computer literate MS Word & Excel.
