Aboutthe role
A QC Analyst at Kerry ensures that all manufactured and purchased products meet required quality and safety specifications by performing accurate testing, reviewing results, and supporting production teams in resolving any deviations to maintain consistent product standards.
Key responsibilities- Analysis of raw materials and chemicals, using sensory and analytical methods to ensure that they comply with specifications.
- Ensures timely delivery of test results to meet deadlines for release of raw materials, and process intermediates.
- Responsible for ensuring that samples are handled and collected according to procedures and quality requirements.
- Review supplier CoA for conformance to internal specifications.
- Conduct factory GMP checks.
- Packaging Inspections.
- Data capturing results of tests carried out onto system.
- Good housekeeping & Good lab practices.
- Internal auditing.
Supplier assessment and continuous evaluation. - Raising and closure of Non-conformances.
- High Risk material daily check.
- Halaal and Kosher Audit assist.
- Traceability exercise assist.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Monitor testing procedures to ensure that all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods, or protocols.
- Internal calibration and verification of lab equipment.
- Ensures that the QMS & HAACP systems are implemented to ensure its continuing suitability and effectiveness.
- Diploma or Degree in Food Technology, Biotechnology or Analytical Chemistry or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 yrs experience as a QC Analyst, preferably within a Food Manufacturing Environment.
- Knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP & GMP.
- Computer literate.
- Internal Audit Experience (Advantageous).
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to multi‑task and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Problem solving – evaluate results to choose the best possible solution.
- Strong communication skills.
- Pro‑active.
- Systematic.
- Ability to work independently.
