Senior Verification Analyst

Position Title: Senior Verification Analyst.

Role

Purpose:

Manage technically sound, efficient and compliant B-BBEE verification engagements from initial client contact through to final review. The role is responsible for ensuring that verification evidence, sampling, calculations and working papers meet the applicable Codes, SANAS requirements and Vision Verification’s Quality Management System, while delivering a professional client experience.

• Manage the end-to-end B-BBEE verification process for assigned clients.
• Conduct initial client engagements and clearly communicate verification requirements, timelines and information needs.
• Review, analyse and assess documentation submitted by measured entities.
• Prepare and maintain complete verification files in accordance with SANAS requirements and the internal Quality Management System.
• Perform inspections and validate claims across all applicable B-BBEE scorecard elements.
• Select representative verification samples and prepare detailed sample requests in accordance with the Quality Management System.
• Plan, coordinate and conduct on-site verification visits and stakeholder interviews.
• Evaluate supporting evidence and identify discrepancies, risks, gaps and potential non-compliance.
• Issue professional review queries and engage with clients to resolve outstanding matters within agreed timelines.
• Calculate and verify B-BBEE scorecards in accordance with the applicable Codes of Good Practice and Sector Codes.
• Ensure that all verification documentation is accurately referenced, indexed and maintained.
• Prepare comprehensive verification files for submission to the Verification Manager and Technical Signatory for review.
• Maintain regular communication with the Verification Manager regarding project progress, risks, dependencies and deadlines.
• Manage multiple verification projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, quality and turnaround commitments.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with SANAS requirements, accreditation criteria and internal Quality Management System procedures.
• Provide mentorship, quality support and technical guidance to junior verification analysts where required.
• Maintain strict confidentiality, impartiality and professional ethics throughout the verification process.
• Build and maintain professional client relationships while delivering responsive and high-quality service.
• Escalate material technical concerns, evidence limitations or potential impartiality risks through the appropriate internal channels.
• Contribute to internal quality improvement initiatives, technical discussions and process optimisation where required.

• Grade 12 or Matric.
• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Commerce or a related field will be advantageous.
• A minimum of 2 years’ direct experience as a B-BBEE Verification Analyst.
• Practical experience conducting Generic, Qualifying Small Enterprise and Exempted Micro Enterprise verifications.
• The ability to interpret legislation and apply technical requirements accurately and consistently.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail capabilities.
• The ability to manage multiple client assignments, competing priorities and strict deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with clients and internal reviewers.
• The ability and willingness to attend client sites as required.

• The Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act and related regulatory framework.
• The B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice.
• Applicable B-BBEE Sector Codes.
• SANAS R47-03 and related accreditation requirements.
• Verification sampling, evidence assessment, scorecard calculation and file preparation principles.

• Experience across multiple B-BBEE Sector Codes.
• Experience supporting or mentoring junior verification analysts.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with verification or audit management systems.
