Senior SHEQ Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

• Drive SHEQ compliance and best practices across operations
• Conduct risk assessments and lead HIRA processes
• Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
• Monitor compliance with environmental legislation and regulatory requirements
• Support the development and continuous improvement of SHEQ management systems
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organisation
• Ensure accurate SHEQ reporting, documentation, and record management
• Engage and communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels
• Support environmental risk management and sustainability initiatives

• Relevant SHEQ-related tertiary qualification
• SAMTRAC certification
• HIRA experience
• 3 to 5 years' experience within a SHEQ environment
• Proven experience conducting incident and accident investigations
• Strong understanding of Environmental Acts, Regulations, and their practical application
• Knowledge of environmental legislation and its impact on organisational risk management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proficiency in Google Workspace applications
• Experience working with cloud-based and SaaS platforms such as Docu Sign, Lucidchart, and similar systems
• Waste management industry experience will be advantageous
