About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and dedicated Quality Assurance Manager to oversee and enhance their quality systems within their pharmaceutical manufacturing operations in Durban. This senior position is critical for maintaining the highest standards of product quality, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. You will lead a team of QA professionals, driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring that all processes meet stringent international pharmaceutical quality standards.

- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Quality Management Systems (QMS) in line with GMP and other relevant regulations.
- Lead and manage the QA team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee all aspects of quality control, including batch record review, deviation management, CAPA implementation, and change control.
- Conduct internal and external audits, and host regulatory inspections to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, R&D, and other departments to resolve quality issues and drive process improvements.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Extensive knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements (e.g., SAHPRA, FDA, EMA), and quality assurance principles.
- Proven experience in managing audits, inspections, and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
