About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Aircraft Quality Inspector to join their esteemed maintenance facility in Durban . This role is paramount in ensuring that all aircraft maintenance, repairs, and modifications meet the stringent safety, regulatory, and quality standards required by aviation authorities. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, verifying documentation, and ensuring compliance throughout the entire maintenance process.
This position is crucial for upholding the company's commitment to safety and operational excellence within the aviation industry.
- Perform detailed inspections of aircraft structures, systems, and components during various stages of maintenance, repair, and overhaul.
- Verify that all maintenance work is performed in accordance with approved data, manufacturer specifications , and regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve maintenance logs, work orders, and technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct audits of maintenance processes and facilities to ensure compliance with quality management systems.
- Identify non-conformances and discrepancies, document them accurately, and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and certification bodies during inspections and audits.
- A recognized Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) qualification or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, with a strong focus on quality assurance and inspection.
- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations (e.g., SACAA) and quality management systems (e.g., AS9100).
- Experience with inspection techniques and the use of precision measuring instruments and testing equipment.
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems and structures across various makes and models.
- Excellent attention to detail, integrity, and strong decision-making abilities.
