About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to uphold the highest standards within their pharmaceutical manufacturing operations in Durban . You will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet stringent quality control benchmarks and regulatory requirements throughout the production lifecycle. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity and safety of our client's pharmaceutical products.
You will collaborate closely with production, regulatory affairs, and R&D teams to implement and refine quality systems, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement in the Kwa Zulu-Natal region.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the site's Quality Management System (QMS) .
- Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with GMP and other relevant regulations.
- Investigate deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Review and approve batch records, validation protocols, and other quality-related documents.
- Participate in regulatory inspections and audits by health authorities.
- Train personnel on quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory guidelines (e.g., SAHPRA).
- Experience with QMS, CAPA systems, and audit procedures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
