About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a highly innovative Chemical Engineer to join their Research and Development department in Durban . This role is dedicated to exploring and developing novel chemical products and processes that will define the future of the industry. - Design and execute experimental plans for the development of new chemical products and processes.
- Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and provide detailed technical reports.
- Scale up laboratory processes to pilot plant and commercial scale, addressing technical challenges.
- Research and evaluate new technologies, materials, and methodologies relevant to product development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including chemists, materials scientists, and manufacturing engineers.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a related scientific field.
- 5+ years of experience in R&D, process development, or product innovation within the chemical industry.
- Demonstrated success in developing and scaling new chemical processes or products.
- Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and statistical methods.
- Experience with relevant laboratory equipment and analytical techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong publication or patent record being an asset.
