We are currently seeking a reliable and friendly Cashier to join our team at Msuez UK in Durban North. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling cash and card transactions with customers, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.

• Greet customers as they approach the checkout area
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently
• Process cash and card transactions using our point-of-sale system
• Ensure correct pricing and discounts are applied to items
• Answer customer questions and provide information about products and services
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• Handle customer complaints and elevate to management when necessary
• Keep track of all cash and card transactions and reconcile at the end of each shift
• Follow all safety and security protocols to protect company assets

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle cash and card transactions with honesty and integrity
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
