About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Visual Merchandiser to enhance the in-store presentation for their retail locations in and around Durban . This role is crucial in creating visually appealing displays that attract customers and drive sales. You will be responsible for interpreting brand aesthetics and translating them into compelling in-store experiences across various product categories. This position requires a strong artistic sense, a good understanding of retail environments, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with store teams.

• Design and execute captivating window and in-store displays according to seasonal themes and brand guidelines.
• Create compelling product layouts and merchandise arrangements that highlight key items and promotions.
• Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to ensure brand consistency and visual impact.
• Source and manage props, fixtures, and other display materials.
• Travel to different store locations to implement visual merchandising plans and train staff on display standards.
• Stay updated on the latest visual merchandising trends and competitor activities.

• Proven experience as a Visual Merchandiser or in a similar creative visual role.
• Strong portfolio showcasing creative display design and execution.
• Excellent understanding of colour theory, space planning, and retail design principles.
• Proficiency in graphic design software is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly within the Durban region.
