Sales Representative

Our client is seeking a motivated and target‑driven Sales Representative to develop new business and manage customer relationships across Durban and surrounding industrial areas. The role focuses on supplying industrial and welding equipment, abrasives, consumables, safety gear, and rental solutions to contractors and clients operating in shipbuilding, refineries, construction, and power generation.

This position requires a proactive sales professional with strong B2B experience, excellent communication skills, and solid product knowledge within industrial or welding environments.

• New Business Development — Identify and develop new sales opportunities and customer accounts

• Client Relationship Management — Maintain strong relationships with existing industrial and contractor clients

• Product Promotion — Promote and sell welding, industrial, safety, abrasive, consumable, and rental products

• Customer Visits — Conduct site visits, understand customer requirements, and provide suitable solutions

• Quotations & Follow‑Ups — Prepare quotations, follow up on leads, and achieve monthly sales targets

• Market Monitoring — Monitor market activity and identify opportunities for business growth

• Internal Coordination — Work closely with internal sales, service, and operations teams to ensure reliable customer service

• Pipeline Management — Maintain accurate customer and sales pipeline records

• B2B Sales Experience — Proven business‑to‑business sales experience

• Product Knowledge — Knowledge of industrial, welding, construction, or related products

• Communication Skills — Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Relationship Building — Ability to build and maintain long‑term customer relationships

• Customer Service — Excellent customer service orientation

• Driver’s Licence — Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel (advantageous)
