Key Account Manager

A leading specialist in the manufacturing of premium knitted and woven fabric based in Durban is seeking to fill the role of a Key Accounts Manager.

The Key Accounts Manager is responsible for communicating the benefits of our fabric to drive sales. He/she will initiate and manage relationships with respective customers and serve as their point of contact and lead throughout the sales process.

• A post-graduate Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or closely related discipline.
• 3 - 5 years of experience in Sales within a manufacturing environment.
• Computer literate (Microsoft office, Syspro).
• A demonstrable capacity to keep abreast of new technological trends.
• Understanding of commercial trends and marketing strategies.

• Facilitate sales, goals and develop long term partnerships with customers.
• Identify core needs and offer customized solutions to our clients.
• Planning and organising weekly work schedule to call on existing and potential clients.
• Present products and trends to customers.
• Review and manage customer order book.
• Collaborate closely with Planning and Distribution department to achieve OTIF.
• Interaction with design team for the best product offering.
