Business Development Manager

THE OPPORTUNITY:

You'll play a key role in driving new business and revenue growth, building lasting client relationships and identifying opportunities across the freight and logistics market. Your focus will be on getting out there, opening doors and turning opportunities into long-term, profitable client relationships.

• Drive new business development within the freight forwarding industry
• Identify, pursue and convert new sales opportunities
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
• Grow revenue and consistently achieve sales targets
• Develop and manage an active sales pipeline
• Prepare proposals, quotations and commercial presentations
• Negotiate and close new business
• Grow existing accounts and identify opportunities for additional business
• Identify market opportunities and keep up to date with industry trends
• Work closely with internal operations teams to deliver the right solutions to clients

• 8+ years' experience in Business Development / Sales
• Strong experience within Freight Forwarding / Clearing & Forwarding
• Proven track record of winning new business
• Strong knowledge of the freight and logistics industry
• Established industry network and client relationships
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
• A proactive, target-driven and results-focused approach
• The confidence and ability to engage decision-makers and close deals
