Business Development Executive – Logistics
Our client in the freight and logistics industry is seeking an experienced Business Development Executive to drive new business revenue, grow the customer base and develop long-term client relationships.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating qualified leads, presenting tailored courier solutions and converting prospects into customers.
Location: Durban
Key ResponsibilitiesDrive new business revenue through prospecting, lead generation, client engagement and deal closure.
Identify and qualify new business opportunities and develop a strong sales pipeline.
Analyse client requirements and recommend appropriate courier and logistics solutions.
Prepare tenders, proposals, presentations and sales reports.
Build, manage and retain strong client relationships, including effective after-sales service and regular follow-ups.
Consistently achieve and exceed monthly sales and product targets.
Monitor and maintain an accurate sales pipeline and submit weekly activity reports and statistics.
Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activity and available products and services.
Work closely with internal teams and management to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
Manage relevant sales administration and internal processes.
Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years' sales experience
, preferably within the logistics, courier or related industry
.Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
Proven ability to generate new business, develop leads and close deals.
Excellent negotiation, communication and client relationship management skills.
Target-driven, proactive and results-focused.
Excellent time management and ability to work effectively under pressure.
