We are seeking motivated and confident General Sales Workers (Matriculants) to join a call center team in Durban. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for recent matriculants who want to start a career in sales, customer service, or contact center operations.

In this role, you will engage with customers over the phone, promote products or services, answer questions, and support sales activities in a professional and customer-focused manner. You will play an important part in helping the team meet sales goals while delivering a positive customer experience.

• Contact potential or existing customers by phone to promote products or services

• Handle inbound and outbound sales calls in a professional manner

• Explain product or service features, benefits, and pricing clearly

• Identify customer needs and recommend suitable solutions

• Answer customer questions accurately and confidently

• Capture and update customer information on internal systems

• Follow up on leads and previous customer interactions

• Meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales or call targets

• Build positive relationships with customers through effective communication

• Resolve basic customer concerns and elevate complex issues when necessary

• Maintain accurate records of calls, sales, and customer outcomes

• Follow scripts, quality standards, and company procedures

• Work closely with supervisors and team members to improve performance

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate

• Strong verbal communication skills in English

• Clear speaking voice and good telephone etiquette

• Interest in sales, customer service, or call center work

• Basic computer literacy

• Ability to listen actively and respond professionally

• Willingness to learn and take coaching from supervisors

• Target-driven and motivated to achieve results

• Good interpersonal skills

• Reliable, punctual, and professional

• Ability to work in a structured office environment

• Previous call center, telesales, or customer service exposure

• Additional South African language skills

• Basic understanding of sales techniques

• Confidence in handling objections and closing sales

• Experience working with customer databases or CRM systems

• Calls are handled professionally and efficiently
