City Logistics is seeking a vigilant and hands-on Night Shift Risk Supervisor to take ownership of risk, security, and stock integrity during night operations. The successful incumbent will oversee warehouse floor activities, site security, and risk controls during critical loading and offloading periods. This role is essential in ensuring that all risks identified during the night shift are effectively managed and communicated, enabling proactive and predictive risk prevention across the business.

• Oversee loading and offloading of client stock to prevent shortages, theft, or tampering.
• Identify and investigate pilferage, suspicious behaviour, or internal risks on the warehouse floor.
• Monitor damaged stock and ensure strict adherence to Quality Control (QC) processes.
• Identify operational vulnerabilities that could be exploited and escalate accordingly.

• Manage night shift access control including biometrics, vehicle logs, and gate procedures.
• Monitor CCTV and surveillance systems to detect unauthorised activity or breaches.
• Ensure perimeter integrity, including gates, fencing, lighting, and patrol compliance.
• Supervise on-site security personnel and enforce patrol and reporting standards.

• Lead initial investigations into incidents, losses, and security breaches occurring during the shift.
• Compile accurate statements and ensure proper evidence collection.
• Prepare and submit a comprehensive end-of-shift report before clock-out, detailing:
  • Incidents and investigations
  • Site performance
  • Identified risks and vulnerabilities
• Provide clear, actionable information to support the Risk and Intelligence Manager’s analysis and planning.

• Matric (NQF Level
  4)
• Relevant experience in security, risk, or logistics warehouse environments
• PSIRA Grade C (advantageous)
• Experience in warehouse operations, particularly loading/offloading processes
• Familiarity with CCTV monitoring systems and security protocols
• Strong report writing skills with ability to provide clear, factual updates
• High level of accountability and attention to detail
• Ability to work night shifts consistently (Monday – Friday)
