This is a full‑time, on‑site Crime Analyst role located in Durban. The Crime Analyst will review and interpret internal and external data to identify patterns of theft, fraud, and other risk‑related activities affecting the business. Day‑to‑day tasks include gathering and analyzing incident reports, transaction data, and surveillance information, and preparing clear reports and visualizations for management. The role involves collaborating with finance, security, and operations teams to recommend preventive measures, improve controls, and support investigations.
The Crime Analyst will also monitor trends in crime affecting the retail sector, maintain accurate documentation, and assist in developing policies that reduce loss and enhance safety for employees and customers.

- Relevant experience in crime analysis, fraud detection, or security intelligence within retail or a similar environment is beneficial.
- A relevant qualification in criminology, criminal justice, finance, data analysis, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively on‑site are required.
- Demonstrated integrity, discretion in handling sensitive information, and commitment to non‑discriminatory, ethical practices are essential.
