As a member of a collaborative engineering team, the QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software, firmware, and integrated system solutions. The candidate will develop and execute test plans, perform manual and automated testing, identify and document defects, and work closely with development teams to ensure product requirements are met. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within an Agile development environment.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Agile Team members to understand project requirements and user stories.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project specifications and acceptance criteria.
  • Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects and ensure software quality.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing to validate software updates and changes.
  • Document, prioritize, and report bugs and issues using issue tracking tools.
  • Work closely with developers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve reported issues.
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts and contribute to test automation initiatives.
  • Continuously improve QA processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Education and Experience

2+ years' experience as a Software Quality Engineer.

  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • Hands‑on experience with project management and test management tools, such as Jira, and Test Rail.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high‑quality software solutions.
  • Hands on experience with Windows applications and Web applications.
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Test Life Cycle (STLC) and Test Methodologies from project definition to post‑deployment documentation cycles.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certification.
  • Experience with embedded systems and firmware testing.
  • Experience with Windows applications, Web applications, REST APIs, and integrated system testing.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD environments.
  • Knowledge of Linux environments and related development tools.
  • Experience with containerization and virtual machine technologies.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Power Shell, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with networking and communication protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, RS232, RS485, SSL/TLS, XML, JSON, and REST services.
  • Experience working with high‑reliability, security, or access control systems.
