Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an Airport General Worker to join our team in Durban, South Africa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the airport. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the loading and unloading of baggage and cargo from aircraft - Operate ground support equipment such as baggage carts, tugs, and other vehicles - Provide passenger assistance, including wheelchair assistance and guiding passengers to their designated areas - Perform aircraft cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed - Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety procedures and protocols - Assist with general airport maintenance tasks, such as snow removal and landscaping - Communicate effectively with team members and other airport staff to ensure efficient operations - Adhere to all airport regulations and policies - Provide excellent customer service to all airport guests

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required - Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays - Must be able to pass a background check and obtain necessary airport security clearances - Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time Benefits:
