Logistics Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Supervisor to lead their dispatch and warehouse operations in Durban . In this key role, you will ensure the efficient coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, manage a team of logistics personnel, and maintain high standards of operational performance. You will be instrumental in streamlining processes within the Kwa Zulu-Natal distribution hub, focusing on accuracy, timeliness, and cost control.

• Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping operations.
• Lead and mentor a team of warehouse staff, providing training and performance management.
• Coordinate with the transportation team to ensure timely dispatch of outgoing shipments and efficient receiving of inbound deliveries.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and implement stock control procedures.
• Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and proper equipment usage.
• Optimize warehouse layout and workflow to improve efficiency and reduce handling times.

• 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role within logistics or warehouse management.
• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is required.
• Strong understanding of inventory control principles and shipping procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
