Stock Controller

This position is based in Durban, South Africa, at our regional office and warehouse facility.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stock Controller to join our team in Durban. As the Stock Controller, you will be responsible for managing the inventory levels and stock movements within our warehouse facility. You will work closely with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure that our stock levels are accurately maintained and that products are available for timely delivery to our customers.

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels in the warehouse, ensuring that stock levels are sufficient to meet customer demand
• Conduct regular stock audits and report any discrepancies to management
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of stock to customers
• Generate reports on stock levels, stock movements, and any variances
• Manage stock rotation and ensure that products are stored in the appropriate conditions
• Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize loss and maximize efficiency
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and make recommendations for clearance or discontinuation
• Collaborate with the sales team to forecast demand and plan for future stock requirements
• Train and supervise warehouse staff on proper stock handling and storage procedures
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction in stock management

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years experience in stock control or inventory management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control principles
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
