Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about accuracy in financial processes? PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an Accounting Clerk to support our client, a leader in the life sciences industry. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth financial operations and compliance across multiple sites.

About the Role

As an Accounting Clerk, you will manage the full cycle of invoice processing for multiple operations, including Durham, St. Louis, and other assigned sites. Your work ensures timely payments, accurate records, and compliance with company policies—directly impacting operational efficiency and vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process invoices for assigned vendors using SAP.

  • Verify compliance with company policies, including 2-way/3-way match and purchase order requirements.

  • Maintain accurate vendor master data.

  • Ensure timely invoice processing, payment scheduling, and discount application.

  • Research and resolve discrepancies related to invoices, purchase orders, and packing slips.

  • Perform monthly reviews of open goods receipts and take necessary actions.

  • Post expenses to correct accounts and cost centers per accounting guidelines.

  • Maintain AP records and files; prepare journal vouchers for month-end accruals.

  • Provide AP reports for month, quarter, and year-end close; reconcile vendor and GL accounts.

  • Assist with 1099 processing and vendor statement reviews for accrual calculations.

  • Handle general office duties such as scanning, copying, and filing.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant finance/accounting experience (manufacturing environment preferred).

  • Experience with Accounts Payable in an ERP system (SAP preferred).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Preferred:
  • College-level accounting courses.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Pay Details:

$19.42 per hour
