Role Description
This is a full‑time on‑site position based in Durham, NC, for a Project Estimator / Civil Engineer at ASPHALT EXPERTS INC. The role entails preparing accurate cost estimates for grading and paving projects, analyzing project specifications, conducting site visits, and developing detailed budgets. The Project Estimator / Civil Engineer will collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to assess project feasibility, manage costs, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
The selected candidate will play a critical role in supporting successful project execution by ensuring cost efficiency and effective communication with all stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Construction Estimating, Project Estimation, and Budgeting to generate accurate financial projections and project plans.
- Proficiency in Cost Management and the ability to identify cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining high‑quality outputs.
- Excellent Communication skills for interacting with clients, internal teams, and vendors effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of X years of relevant experience in construction, civil engineering, or project estimations.
- Proficiency in project management and estimating software is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Knowledge of local building codes, standards, and safety regulations.
