The Division of Pediatric Cardiology in the Duke Department of Pediatrics invites applications for Director of Pediatric Electrophysiology. The role is partof

Duke Children?s Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC.This is an exceptional opportunity to lead and expand a high-volume, academically-driven program with a premier academic health system.

The division seeks candidates board-certified in Pediatric Cardiology with advanced training and a minimum of five years of experience in invasive pediatric electrophysiology. Experience in adult congenital electrophysiology, expertise in catheter-based electrophysiology procedures, and device implantation and management are highly sought. Pediatric cardiologists with a strong interest in growing the academic and clinical program through research, clinical excellence, and community outreach are encouraged to apply.

The pediatric electrophysiology program at Duke has a longstanding history of excellence in patient care, research, and training in pediatric electrophysiology. This program director will join two current pediatric electrophysiologists and an electrophysiology nurse practitioner in a busy program comprised of a combination of inpatient and outpatient care, as well as procedures including interventional electrophysiology study, ablation, and device implantation.

The director will mentor fellows and participate in cutting-edge clinical trials.

Duke Pediatric Cardiology provides care in dedicated, state-of-the-art pediatric electrophysiology laboratories with a congenital cardiac catheterization laboratory team, including pediatric cardiac anesthesia. The electrophysiology team cares for a large pediatric and adult congenital population and provides comprehensive electrophysiology care included the evaluation and management of genetic arrhythmia syndromes. There is ongoing close collaboration with the Duke adult electrophysiology program in clinical care, research, and education.
