Medical Oncologist Focused GU in South Durham, NC

Duke Health, Duke Cancer Institute
, and the Department of Medicines Division of Medical Oncology are recruiting Clinician/Educators and Clinical Associates in a community setting in South Durham, NC.

Positions available may be solely based in our S. Durham location, or with a rotation to our main campus.

A position based in S. Durham but with a rotation to main campus would be a Clinician/Educator

• Board Certification in Oncology required
• Faculty appointment = Regular rank appointment (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor) commensurate with academic achievement and experience
• Disease focus = Genitourinary (GU)
• Clinical responsibilities include:
  • Outpatient Clinic and Coverage of Infusion Services at Duke Cancer Center and S. Durham Herndon Rd location
  • Inpatient Rounding on Solid Tumor Service
• Academic responsibilities include:
  • Clinical Research
  • Education = teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students in both inpatient

A position based in our S. Durham location would be Clinician/Educator

• Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology required
• Faculty appointment = Regular rank appointment (Assistant Professor) or Non-regular rank appointment (Clinical Associate)
• Disease focus = Genitourinary (GU) Malignancies, but with ability to consult on all solid tumors and hematology (benign and malignant)
• Clinical responsibilities include:
  • Outpatient Clinic and Coverage of Infusion Services at S. Durham Herndon Rd location
  • Inpatient Consultation on Hematology/Oncology Service (staffed by Hospitalists) if working at Duke Regional Hospital
• Academic responsibilities include:
  • Clinical Research
  • Education = teaching of fellows in the outpatient setting
