Job Overview

Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is seeking a pediatric cardiologist to further develop its busy and dynamic outpatient pediatric cardiology and fetal program. The candidate should be BE/BC in pediatric cardiology and collaborate with a team of cardiac specialists and community-based providers. This position will be primarily focused on outpatient care including consultation, diagnostics, and longitudinal management of children with congenital and acquired heart disease.

It will also include general inpatient cardiology service coverage.

The outpatient cardiologist will evaluate and longitudinally follow patients in various subspecialty cardiology clinics and contribute to program development efforts aimed at expanding access and care for children across the region. There is also opportunity for academic engagement, depending on the candidate’s interests.

The Heart Institute at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital treats the full spectrum of cardiac disorders with most advanced medical and surgical treatments. The division currently includes three pediatric heart surgeons, five interventional cardiologists, two heart failure/transplant cardiologists, two electrophysiologists, three adult congenital cardiologists, and a robust cardiac imaging service. Outpatient services are supported by a dynamic infrastructure including nurse practitioners, medical assistants, administrative support, and access to advanced diagnostic tools.

This is a full‑time employed position with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
