The department offers an English M.A., B.A.s in English, Spanish, and Interdisciplinary Studies, and minors in Spanish, German, philosophy, literature, and writing. We host the Spanish Club, the Ex Umbra literary magazine, the Eagle Creators Society, and several other student clubs and honor societies. Language and Literature faculty contribute to many interdisciplinary initiatives including Women’s and Gender Studies, Global Studies, Service Learning, undergraduate research, and Digital Humanities.
PrimaryPurpose of the Position
- Teach courses in Elementary German I and II
- Hold 4–8 office hours per week
- Prepare course materials and grade student assignments
Proven ability to teach college‑level German to English‑speaking students.
Minimum Education /ExperienceThe applicant must hold a M.A. degree with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate coursework in German.
Licenses or Certification Required by Statute or RegulationNo license or certification required.
