VISTA Technology Services, Inc. (VISTA) is currently seeking a part-time (20 hours/week) Library Assistant. This is a hybrid position reporting onsite 3 days a week at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) Library in Research Triangle Park, NC.

The selected candidate will be a fully integrated library team member and will be trained and involved in many library operations and gain valuable experience in a science library. The Library Assistant will be part of a highly professional, friendly, and results-oriented library team.

Duties:

• Filling article requests for NIEHS researchers and for outside libraries
• Shelving books and shifting collection as needed
• Copy cataloging and physical processing of new materials
• Mailing and receiving books
• Assisting with special projects such as processing donated materials

Qualifications:

• Two years of work experience
• Library experience or coursework a plus
• Strong organization and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to Raleigh/Durham, NC

This position will be subject to a background investigation, drug screening, and government background check.
