Child Welfare Trainer/Content Developer

Location: Research Triangle Park/Durham, NC - Onsite

Client requires the services of a trainer/content developer to support training implementation of Child Welfare training modules. Statewide travel up to 30% of the time may be required, including evenings and weekends. The contractor will design, develop and deliver classroom facilitator‑led learning solutions, eLearning courses, and support system implementation of the Child Welfare Information System (CWIS). The role collaborates with the Training Lead, Business, Agile, and Development teams to create instructional materials, maintain Adobe Frame Maker templates, and provide classroom and virtual facilitation for adult learners.

Travel expenses are reimbursed per state protocol, with per diem and hotel coverage as applicable.

• Analyze CWIS functionality to translate into effective learning materials.

• Develop and deliver classroom facilitator‑led learning solutions and eLearning courses.

• Collaborate closely with Training Lead, Business/Agile/Development Teams, and subject matter experts.

• Maintain and revise Adobe Frame Maker templates, scripts, and training materials.

• Provide classroom and virtual facilitation to all levels of employees overseeing Child Welfare programs.

• Experience in curriculum design and developing training materials for adult learners (Required, 3+ years).
• Understanding of social services programs at county, regional, and state levels that administer Child Welfare programs (Required, 3+ years).
• Knowledge of NC FAST case management software and ability to translate functionality into learning materials (Desired, 3+ years).
• Ability to assist with scheduling, preparing for, and participating in quality assurance checks on training materials (Required, 3+ years).
• Experience working with training developers, subject matter experts, technical support to assure training material effectiveness (Required, 3+ years).
• Experience in business analysis and proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (Required, 3+ years).
• Experience with Learning Management Systems such as Moodle, XML, HTML (Required, 3+ years).
• Experience designing and delivering computer‑based training instructional design using learning program design systems (Required, 3+ years).
• Experience with Adobe Frame Maker, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Photoshop, Visio, or other training applications (Required, 3+ years).
• Experience developing dynamic instructional materials with interactions and simulations (Required, 3+ years).
• Experience developing interactive media presentations that enhance online educational experiences (Required, 3+ years).
• Experience leading training sessions in various formats: in‑person, virtual, webinar (Required, 3+ years).
• Ability to assist with basic application software and hardware support (Desired, 0 years).
• Strong understanding of internet concepts and web technology (Desired, 0 years).
• Clear oral and written communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups (Desired, 0 years).
• Experience evaluating student progress and making recommendations for continued training participation curriculum (Required, 3+ years).
• Experience providing feedback on learning curriculum and methodology to ensure relevance and comprehension (Required, 3+ years).
• Experience with processes to prepare for and conduct classroom training, including facility management, course scheduling, and student registration (Required, 3+ years).
• Knowledge of NC FAST and the Medicaid Program in NC (Desired, 2+ years).
