Statewide travel up to 25% of the time is required and may include evenings and weekend days.

The primary purpose of the NC FAST Training Developer is to analyze the NC FAST system functionality to develop classroom facilitator‑led learning solutions and eLearning courses to support NC FAST implementation.

• Analyze NC FAST case management software and translate functionality into effective learning materials.
• Collaborate with the Training Lead, Training Scripts Writer, Applications Lead, and subject‑matter experts to design training and develop course materials.
• Develop and maintain Adobe Frame Maker templates and scripts, and revise training materials for instructional training of adult learners.
• Provide effective and creative classroom and virtual facilitation of training for all levels of employees who oversee and administer social services programs managed through the NC FAST system.
• Assist with scheduling, preparation for, and participation in quality assurance checks on training materials.
• Support basic application software and hardware troubleshooting as needed.

• Experience in curriculum design and developing training materials for adult learners – 3 years required.
• Strong understanding of social services programs and the Medicaid program in NC – 3 years required.
• Experience researching and evaluating NC FAST case management software – 3 years highly desired.
• Experience with training development teams, program subject‑matter experts, and technical support to assure training effectiveness – 3 years required.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – 3 years required.
• Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) technology such as Moodle, XML, HTML – 3 years required.
• Designing and delivering computer‑based training using instructional design principles – 3 years required.
• Experience with Adobe Frame Maker, Adobe Captivate, Photoshop, Adobe Breeze, Dreamweaver, Visio, or other training applications – 3 years required.
• Developing dynamic instructional training materials with interactions and simulations for engaging course content – 3 years required.
• Developing interactive media presentations to enhance online educational experience – 3 years required.
• Leading training sessions in in‑person, virtual, and/or webinar formats – 3 years required.
• Strong understanding of internet concepts and web technology – 0 years desired.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse groups – 0 years desired.
• Experience evaluating student progress and recommending continued training participation – 0 years desired.
• Providing feedback on learning curriculum and methodology to ensure program relevance and user comprehension – 3 years required.
• Preparedness for classroom training processes, including facility management, course scheduling, and student registration – 3 years required.
