Role:
Senior Automation Engineer specializing in upstream biopharmaceutical manufacturing, focusing on automation systems support and project leadership.
- lead automation for media and process control systems
- serve as SME for DCS
- BMS, MES
- oversee system integration
- develop specifications
- support GMP manufacturing
- implement upgrades
- and troubleshoot automation issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Engineering, Computer Science, or related
- 8+ years in GMP biopharma automation with hands‑on experience in DCS (preferably Emerson DeltaV)
- PLC, SCADA, HMI
- strong knowledge of validation, GMP, FDA, 21 CFR Part 11
- project management skills.
High Value: biopharma (upstream media and process control), GMP environment, automation standards, DCS platforms, validation practices, cross‑functional team collaboration.
Work Setup: onsite Durham, NC, with no relocation support.
