Process Sustaining Engineer

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

Providing technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area in Crystal Growth.

Troubleshooting equipment failure in collaboration with technicians.

Maintaining records of calibration and verification of measurement devices used in manufacturing documents.

Owning standard operating procedures and associated training for manufacturing processes.

Recommending and implementing equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products.

Developing and conducting statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical causes of failure for yield loss and improving quality.

Interacting with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.

Participating in internal and external IATF audits and ensuring all control documentations (PFD, PFMEA, and PCP) are up to date.

Collaborating with downstream departments, facilities, logistics and software teams to resolve interruptions to production.

Providing guidance to junior engineers and technicians.

Skills and

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or related field

Minimum 3 years of experience in 24/7 manufacturing environment

Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and quality management systems

Strong communication and presentation skills

Experience with JMP or similar statistical analysis software

Experience with SQL preferred
