A dynamic and fast-growing renewable energy company dedicated to expanding clean energy solutions across the U.S is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Senior Accountant. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance and Accounting, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in financial operations. This position offers broad exposure to financial management in a high-growth startup, with opportunities to enhance internal processes and support business decisions.

They are seeking a Senior Accountant to establish efficient processes and provide accurate financial reporting that supports our executive team, investors, and Board of Directors.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
• Manage account records, invoicing, and payment processing
• Execute and oversee month-end close procedures and financial statement preparation
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and business insights
• Assist in developing budgets and financial forecasts to drive decision-making
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and other financial regulations
• Manage payroll processing, including wages, deductions, and tax calculations
• Collaborate with management on employee benefits and leave tracking
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency
• Support the transition to Workday financial software

• Minimum of two years of accounting/finance experience
• Renewable energy industry experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or working toward certification is a plus
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment
