We are seeking a Medical Assistant, Certified in our South Durham Pulmonary clinic located in Durham, NC to be an integral member of the healthcare team and provide direct and indirect care to patients.

$7,500 Commitment Bonus & $2,000 Relocation Assistance for qualifying candidates!

• Assist Medical and Nursing Staff in a variety of tasks including:
  Taking medical histories and recording vital signs
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician
• Authorize drug refills as directed
• Telephone prescriptions to a pharmacy
• Perform other clinical functions as delegated and supervised by the physician
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
• Explain treatment procedures to patients
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
  
  Perform allergy skin testing

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). Strongly preferred.
• High school or GED graduation required.
• Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA or ARMA required.
• BLS required.
• Level I – No experience required.
• Level II – 1 year of clinical experience as a Certified Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
