The Community Outreach & Engagement (COE) Program is looking for a Program Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in advancing COE’s goals of improving health and well‑being in communities, promoting community involvement in clinical trials, and collaborating with community partners. You’ll coordinate outreach activities, manage program operations, and support staff to ensure high‑quality delivery of projects that meet Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) requirements.

Essential

Job Duties:
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day operations of the COE program, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and CCSG objectives.
  • Organize and manage community outreach events, educational programs, and engagement activities, including maintaining program timelines and deliverables.
  • Track and report program metrics to demonstrate impact and compliance with CCSG requirements.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, facilitating effective communication, including developing and distributing program communications, newsletters, event announcements and outreach materials.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support to program staff, including onboarding and training, preparing progress reports, assisting with grants, and collaborating with COE leaders on budgets and resource allocation.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Generally requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • One year of experience in program administration or academic, instructional, or counseling activities.
  • Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in event and program planning, coordination, and project management.
  • Familiarity with community engagement principles, health equity initiatives, and grant compliance.
  • Knowledge of Redcap database.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual collaboration tools.

Anticipated Pay Range:

Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $44,766.00 to USD $71,706.00. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
