Job Description & How to Apply Below

Client Software Enterprise Architect — Dual-Track & AI-Driven Delivery

Join us at Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions as a Senior Client Enterprise Architect to lead end‑to‑end solution delivery for major retail platforms.

In this role, you will own architecture leadership (design, trade‑offs, governance), active implementation (mentoring, code reviews, selective hands‑on features), and operational ownership (delivery sign‑off, post‑release support) of high‑impact solutions, bridging business requirements to working implementations.

You will drive Dual‑Track Agile processes, guiding the Discovery Track for clarity and design exploration, and the Delivery Track to ensure quality, traceability, and measurable outcomes.

The ideal candidate combines deep architecture expertise with hands‑on coding, practical prototyping, and AI/agent workflow integration across the software lifecycle—from analysis and design to testing, documentation, and code generation. You will mentor teams, make critical technical trade‑offs, and take full accountability for delivery sign‑off and post‑release support.

This role requires strong retail platform domain knowledge (POS systems, store operations), cloud‑native architecture experience, and fluency with generative and agentic AI tools to accelerate development while preserving architectural integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own end‑to‑end solution delivery across Discovery and Delivery Tracks, converting business needs into validated prototypes, formal designs, decomposed deliverables, and accepted technical implementations.
  • Lead the Discovery Track under Dual‑Track Agile, rapidly prototyping and demoing solutions to validate feasibility and align stakeholders before full implementation.
  • Translate discovery outcomes into delivery backlog items, ensuring design intent, architecture standards, and non‑functional requirements are preserved throughout implementation.
  • Lead architecture design and governance across products and integrations: produce ADRs, interface contracts, data models, sequencing diagrams, migration/rollback plans, and traceability matrices.
  • Serve as active technical lead in client engagements, facilitating workshops, presenting technical solutions, making trade‑off decisions, driving approvals, and acting as a subject‑matter expert for assigned platform areas.
  • Implement and demo reference code or critical components, applying hands‑on coding in modern retail platform stacks, reviewing and approving deliverables from implementation teams.
  • Instrument and leverage AI/agentic workflows to accelerate design, prototyping, code generation, test‑case creation, specification drafting, and automated validation across the software lifecycle.
  • Define and enforce architecture standards, reusable integration patterns, and non‑functional requirements (security, scalability, observability) across client solutions.
  • Mentor and upskill engineers and architects on AI‑assisted development, Dual‑Track workflows, specification‑driven design, and platform best practices.
  • Contribute to platform and portfolio strategy, identifying reusable assets, API‑first designs, and gaps requiring investment.
  • Own risk analysis and mitigation for architecture decisions, including backward compatibility, data integrity, and compliance constraints.
Must‑Have Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience applying and utilizing AI‑assisted tools and workflows (e.g., Git Hub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) for design, coding, test generation, and documentation.
  • 10+ years of professional software development experience, including recent hands‑on coding and prototyping in modern technology stacks.
  • 5+ years designing cloud‑native, microservices, or event‑driven architectures, with experience in Azure or equivalent cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with technology stack such as Java/Spring Boot, Type Script, React/Vue.
  • Proven experience owning end‑to‑end solution delivery, including design, implementation, and post‑release operational accountability for medium‑to‑large projects.
  • Hands‑on experience building prototypes or reference implementations to validate architecture and…
