The Data Engineer – Analytics is a key role in TiVo’s Content organization. The Content team handles the challenges of creating scalable services for TiVo‑branded experiences, with a key focus on driving TiVo One viewership. This technical role is focused on developing and deploying cloud‑based offerings using a wide range of tools and frameworks, automating operational tasks, improving performance modeling, and working with development and operational teams to solve complex problems.

You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to help us better understand our TiVo One viewership performance.

All candidates must bring a basic understanding of AI concepts or interest in AI tools and technologies. We’re looking for individuals who are curious about AI, eager to learn, and aim to integrate it into their work in alignment with organizational policies.

• Perform exploratory analysis, create dashboards, and generate actionable insights for engineering and business teams.
• Build datasets that support reporting, monitoring, and operational intelligence.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data models.
• Implement data quality checks, metadata management, and documentation.
• Drive technical and architectural excellence across our data engineering services.
• Imagine, design and develop new visualizations that help us understand our business performance.
• Utilize and promote sound development practices (requirements gathering, design reviews, code reviews, retrospective meetings, etc.).
• Adhere to core design and testing principles set by team and group leadership.
• Identify and automate repetitive operational tasks at all stages of the software lifecycle.
• Build tools and systems to increase operational transparency and monitoring of SaaS products across Xperi.

• Strong Python and SQL for data manipulation and analytics.
• Strong expertise in Java and OO design.
• Experience with modern data engineering tools (Airflow/Dagster/Prefect, dbt).
• Proficiency with cloud data platforms (Big Query, Snowflake).
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and schema design.
• Experience with CI/CD, version control (Git).
• Experience designing and developing large software systems.
• Experience with JSON and REST.
