Senior Applications DBA; SQL development, tuning Oracle Databases, Cache, Oracle Golden Gate, AWS

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) requires a Senior Applications DBA to support the migration and development of various applications for North Carolina Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST).

• Demonstrable skills in designing schema, access patterns, locking strategy, SQL development, and tuning Oracle Databases in an enterprise environment
• Required 7 Years Modifying the database structure, creation and update to existing database objects per application needs
• Required 7 Years Experience in configuring, monitoring, and Cache management for Oracle database servers
• Required 3 Years Strong experience in allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements for the database system
• Required 3 Years Experience in supporting and implementing Oracle Golden Gate
• Required 2 Years Must have experience in implementing and supporting Oracle on AWS including RDS
• Required 2 Years Experience authoring code in SQL, PL/SQL on Unix/Linux
• Required 5 Years Proficiency in one or more shell scripting languages
• Required 2 Years Hands‑on experience enrolling users and maintaining system security, Controlling user access to the database, Locking down host access
• Required 5 Years Monitoring performance metrics, response times, and request rates
• Required 5 Years Designing and implementing backup/restore service and disaster recovery (DR) solutions on AWS cloud
• Required 2 Years Experience with installing, upgrading, and patching the software that powers the database (Oracle)
• Required 3 Years Strong experience in data archiving solution for large Oracle database
• Required 2 Years Experience with data masking/de‑identification of production data for non‑production usage
• Required 2 Years Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Required 7 Years Experience with advanced security and Oracle Data Guard replication Highly desired 2 Years Participate in on‑call rotation and weekend work
