Piper Companies is currently looking for a Senior Project Manager for a full-time position located in Durham, NC
. This Senior Project Manager will join an insurance company looking to oversee and build programs from scratch. This opportunity will primarily revolve around the business side of the company (Executives, finance, legal, etc.).

• Lead end-to-end project lifecycle from planning and design through execution and delivery, ensuring successful business outcomes.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans and budgets, monitoring costs and resources to deliver maximum value.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and executives to define objectives, scope, key deliverables, and timelines, while maintaining clear communication.
• Direct and motivate cross‑functional teams and external vendors, providing guidance and resolving resource constraints to achieve project goals.
• Proactively manage risks, issues, and scope changes, ensuring quality standards and timely delivery of project milestones.

• Certified in project management (PMP/CAPM or equivalent) with a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, technology, or related field; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• 2+ years of experience leading diverse cross‑functional projects, including technical and non‑technical teams.
• Proven ability to manage projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies, leveraging strong leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving skills to deliver successful outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments, maintaining accountability and high‑quality standards while driving alignment across stakeholders and executives.
• Tech‑savvy and adaptable, with the ability to quickly learn SaaS‑based project management tools and apply knowledge of Agile practices and the software development lifecycle.

• Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 + bonus
