QA Engineer

Piper Companies is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with strong experience with backend testing and automation. The ideal Quality Assurance Engineer will be hybrid 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in Durham, NC
.

• Execute detailed testing of web applications to uncover bugs, usability issues, and other defects.
• Able to design and run test cases and scripts to confirm the functionality, performance and security of web based applications
• Conduct API testing with tools like Postman, Selenium, or Cucumber.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to grasp requirements and effectively relay testing results
• Identify and supply necessary test data, document and report defects, monitor issues to resolution, and swiftly verify fixes
• Participate in Agile development activities, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives

• 4-6 years of experience as a software quality assurance engineer, coming from a software background is ideal
• Advanced knowledge of API testing concepts and tools;
  Postman, Selenium, Cucmber
• Previous experience using Java or C++
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and Power BI
• Understands automation scripting, and can do both manual and automation
• Works with Agile methodologies (JIRA, Sprint, Kanban) and Agile test management (Xray)
• Experience with AWS cloud services such as S3, Lambda, Cloud Watch or RDS
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000
