The Steel Network, Inc. (TSN) is a leading national manufacturer of light steel framing building products. TSN is seeking to hire a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team. Position OverviewThe state‑of‑the‑art facility is equipped with advanced steel fabrication equipment, including roll‑forming, press‑breaks, lasers, welding, and more. As part of the Shipping and Receiving team, the specialist’s primary responsibilities include loading & unloading flatbeds, vans, and box trucks, pulling & packaging orders, performing inventory control (cycle counts), and effective communication with various departments.
Primary Responsibilities- Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
- Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
- Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Maintains a clean, neat, and member‑ready area.
- Promptly loads trucks and unloads deliveries; sorts and stocks receivables.
- Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scans inventory, and counts accurately.
- Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
- Provides additional backup support.
- Attention to detail.
- Adherence to work‑environment safety.
- Proactive attitude.
- Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock.
- Receiving, stocking, and stacking.
- Create and fill out BOLs.
- Prepare commercial paperwork (USMCA).
- Forklift experience.
- Pulling, packing, and loading flatbeds/box trucks.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong sense of time organization and urgency.
- Able to perform repeatable processes.
- Able to apply time management to meet daily goals.
- Able to work independently and within a team.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. throughout the day.
- Able to be on your feet up to 8 hours.
- Able to work overtime as needed.
- Forklift experience.
- Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
