Accentuate Staffing is assisting a client of ours in the Durham area recruit for a Production Planner (Contract) to join their team. This is a contract position expected to run through about March, working day shift Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules using Excel
  • Review production data, inventory levels, and upcoming requirements to help establish realistic production plans
  • Monitor production schedules and make adjustments as priorities, materials, or production needs change
  • Track key production metrics and prepare reports for management
  • Work closely with production, operations, engineering, inventory, and supply chain teams to keep plans aligned
  • Help coordinate customer orders and production requirements to support on-time delivery
  • Maintain accurate planning records, spreadsheets, and other documentation
  • Organize and analyze data to identify potential scheduling issues or production constraints
  • Participate in production meetings and communicate updates to relevant teams
  • Assist with improving planning tools, reports, and processes
  • Take on additional administrative and organizational tasks as needed
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in production planning, production scheduling, manufacturing, data analysis, or a related area
  • Advanced Excel skills are required, including the ability to manage, organize, and analyze large amounts of data
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with data and using it to make planning and scheduling decisions
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience working with ERP or MRP systems is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with different departments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing production needs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant experience is a plus
